Stanislaus, CA– The Sand Flat Wildfire is now 100 percent contained.
The fire grew to 177 acres before fire crews were able to stop the spread of the fire. Public Information Officer for the Stanislaus National Forest, Jerry Snyder says crews will remain at the site over the weekend to mop up the area and that smoke will still be visible.
One helicopter will also be continuing to drop water in the area until mop up is completed.
