Angels Camp, CA — A Lodi man has been arrested after totaling his Camaro with a Valley Springs man in the passenger seat.
The CHP says it was close to midnight when Brian Dehart was driving on Highway 4 near Pool Station Road at an extremely high rate of speed with passenger 20-year old Dustin Walker.
As the car entered a sharp turn, the Camaro veered off the road, struck an embankment, overturned, then struck an oak tree before coming to rest on its roof.
A passerby took the two men to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital but their injuries were so severe, they were flown to another area hospital.
The CHP says prior to being flown out, 19-year-old Dehart was arrested for felony DUI.
Dehart had a possible concussion, severe scalp lacerations and neck pain. Walker had a fractured right arm, a possible concussion, severe scalp lacerations and a possible left eye injury.
