On the 28th of February, Clarke Broadcasting ran a story from reports received from the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department pertaining to Craig James McAlister.

The story which ran on KVML-KZSQ-KKBN and Mymotherlode.com, stated that Mr. McAlister was a felon booked in possession of a dangerous weapon.

The sheriff´s report stated that Mr. McAlister had been booked on “suspicion of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon”.

Our story inadvertently left out the word “suspicion”.

We regret the error and issue an open apology to Craig James McAlister for the misinformation.
