Calaveras County authorities are investigating the attempted murder of a Lodi man.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s office says 42-year-old Donald Snyder was stabbed in his stomach along Highway 12, near Burson, and left along the roadway. The knife used to stab Snyder was still protruding from his abdomen when emergency crews arrived on the scene after 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Snyder was taken to Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto. His condition is unknown at this time.
Investigators say that Snyder had driven to the Burson area from Stockton with two other men. Those men are suspected in the stabbing. Authorities say the two men left the scene of the stabbing, driving to the Lodi area in a Brown Cadillac. The motive for the stabbing is unknown.
