After more than a 24 hour search, two mountain bikers reported missing in Los Padres National Forest were found

by a sheriff´s helicopter crew. Fifty-two-year-old Steve Meachum of Marin County and 35 year old James Waddington of San Diego County disappeared about six p.m. Sunday during a 37-mile group-sponsored ride that was to follow the Gibraltar Trail loop.

They were found in good condition about eight o´clock last night. Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo county rescue teams joined in the search. The men were located by a Santa Barbara County Sheriff´s Department helicopter crew in the Indian Creek drainage area, not far from the trail. They were airlifted to a hospital.
