Tuolumne County Sheriff Dick Rogers presented a report on the crime rate in Tuolumne County and it´s
gone down. Between 1999 and 2000, crime has gone down nearly 22 percent. Thefts and assaults are the biggest drops, going from over 400 cases apiece to
less than 300.

Rogers says this is because of hard work, cooperation with other agencies, good economy and state support.
