US forest service crews are investigating the cause of a three quarter acre fire off Highway 120 yesterday. The fire was spotted shortly after noon, and burned some slash, timber and brush. No injuries and no threat to any buildings. Earlier this weekend, crews finished mopping up the last of a 20-acre fire on the Ralph Ranch, about 3 miles from Tuolumne City. That fire is still under investigation. No injuries or threat to buildings.
CDF and Jamestown Fire crews are still investigating a half-acre fire near the Jamestown Elementary School over the weekend. It took about a half hour to contain it Saturday afternoon.
