Firefighters from Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties have contained a 12- hundred acre wildfire in Amador
County. The blaze was touched off by a welder´s torch yesterday before noon.

It burned along Highway 88 near Lake Comanche. One home, a barn
and several outbuildings were lost.
