The Governor has signed a bill into law that will offer needed financial relief to the Mariposa County Unified School District. The bill authored by State Senator Dick Monteith will help pay for rising energy costs unanticipated in the District´s budget.

The added funding will protect the district from receiving a negative state certification. Some districts in the county were in danger of the certification because they were using emergency funds to pay their utility bills.
