Sonora police are investigating a homicide that happened Wednesday. Officers were called to 24 Poplar
Street and found the body of 44 year old Michael Gilligan dead on the floor of the home.

Gilligan was the victim of an apparent knife wound. Police are
asking officials from the Tuolumne County DA´s office and State Justice Department for their help.
