A 44 year old Columbia man will be arraigned today in Superior Court for assault on a peace officer with a
deadly weapon and attempted murder. Steven Kent Baker is also charged with providing false identification to officers.

Sheriff´s deputies inflicted two
gunshot wounds after they say Baker went after them in a Yankee Hill road driveway with a deadly weapon.

Baker was originally being chased by
Sonora Police for suspected drunk driving.
