Sonora, CA — Some Mother Lode residents are concerned about the state’s AB 109 prisoner realignment program because more lower level offenders are staying in the county, rather than going to state prison.
AB 109 has been a hot topic at recent Town Hall meetings hosted by Sheriff Jim Mele, and he will address the issue on Mother Lode Views this weekend.
Mele will also talk about the recent arson incident regarding his patrol vehicles, and will touch on how state budget cuts will impact marijuana eradication efforts during the summer months.
