The Jordan Reyes Blood Drive is being held for the 9th year at the Sonora Sport & Fitness facility. The blood drive has become a large community event with all local fire agencies attending to make this a day not only to Honor Jordan who passed away 8 years ago and was a local firefighter but has become a day to honor all of our local heroes. Many local fire engines and firefighters will be attending the event and the 60′ American flag will be suspended from dual ladder trucks and will be hoisted and removed by the Columbia College Fire Academy students.
The goal of the drive is to have 100 units of blood donated for our local Red Cross blood bank.
During the blood drive there will be a raffle and silent auction where ALL proceeds will go to fund the Jordan Reyes Columbia College Fire Academy Scholarship. The funds from the raffle provide a $1000 scholarship each semester to a graduating Fire Academy student.
