Melissa Vallelunga, RNC, is the Director of the Birth Center at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Vallelunga grew up in Twain Harte and studied nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno, and obtained her Masters in Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has been with the Medical Center since 2002. Vallelunga became interested in obstetrics because she had a strong desire to care for the maternal/infant couplette and to provide women with lasting birth experience memories.
