Join The Pebbles in a Pond team for its fourth live show event. “We, The People: Stories of America” offers storytelling, music, and visual art, including a student art show. Musicians performing are Honey Run and The Neighborhood Sound. Storytellers are BZ Smith, Richard Haratani, Andrea Victoria Lisbon, and Lisette Sweetland with stories from different perspectives of the American experience.
The program includes a tribute to the late Amy-Ada Haratani and her deceased husband Joe, who both were sent to internment camps during WWII for people of Japanese descent. Plus, students from Sonora Elementary School share posters that depict how the Bill of Rights protects us. The “Faces of Tuolumne County Voters” will be on display, as well. The program is geared for school-age children through adults, but younger children are welcome.
This event is sponsored by the California Arts Council, Tuolumne County Arts, United Way of Merced County, with support from the Sonora Area Foundation, Tuolumne County Recreation Department, and Hive-Arts.Org.
