Over two years, more than $1.4 billion has been committed from FEMA-administered programs to support non-federal entities that are taking care of migrants. And now Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) “does not have the funds” to see Americans through the rest of this Atlantic hurricane season. The border crisis has just hit home in the destroyed southeast.
