Lucille Ball claimed that “In life, all good things come hard, but wisdom is the hardest to come by.”

Earnest Hemmingway once noted that “You can’t get away from yourself by moving from one pace to another.”
According to Armenian-American novelist and playwright William Saroyan, “Good people are good because they’ve come to wisdom through failure.”
Justice Oliver Wendall Holmes, Jr believed that “Where we stand is not as important as the direction in which we are moving.”
The Biden ministration continues to give cash to EV carmakers and manufacturers of batteries along with subsidies to car buyers; and yet they require coal fired plants to shut down if they can’t reduce emissions and they are banning new gas-powered plants. If they really care about climate change, why don’t they give THEM that money to update their plants to reduce emissions? Or to build new tech nuclear plants? Because without these power plants, there will be no electricity to charge all these electric vehicles and run the all-electric homes they want.
“Choose your journey, change your journey, own your journey;” says astronaut Susan Kilrain, “but above all else, enjoy your journey.”
Essayist William Hazlitt wrote: “The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure very much.”
Writer Josh Billings claimed that “It’s better to know nothing than to know what isn’t so.”
It’s interesting to note that Gavin Newsome’s $20 per hour minimum wage for fast food workers not only excludes his wealthy donor’s Panera Bread units but also his own group of restaurants, that he founded in 1992, like the PlumpJack Cafe in Olympic Valley which recently advertised for a part-time busser at, yep, $16 per hour.
Pythagoras said: “The oldest, shortest words – “yes” and “no” – are those which require the most thought.”
The student protestors that are being egged on by paid outside agitators, some financed by U.S.-hater billionaire George Soros, should pay attention to a recent Forbes survey of executives with direct hiring authority. One third of those surveyed said they’re less likely to hire an Ivy League graduate than they were five years ago. Forty-two percent of respondents said they were more likely to hire public university grads. Respondents said the shift comes down to overall preparedness for employment. Only 14% of those surveyed said Ivy League graduates were prepared. Twenty percent said Ivy League schools were doing worse.
As Mark twain once noted, “Nothing spoils a good story more than the arrival of an eyewitness.”
Motivational speaker Blaine Lee says that “Making commitments generates hope. Keeping commitments generates trust.”
Will Rogers advised us that “We are all here for a spell; get all the good laughs you can.”
Writer James Baldwin once noted that “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
William Blake wrote: “No bird soars too high if he soars with his own wings”
The latest update from natural-resource consultants Goehring & Rozencwajg only darkens the picture for electric vehicles that the Biden Administration is all in on. You need to get 45 years of use out of an EV battery, which has an expected life of only 15 years, to offset the global CO2 cost of producing it. And now, California’s phasing out of diesel-powered heavy-duty trucks is going to weigh heavily on consumers as delivery costs rise. That is, if goods are delivered at all given our issues with mandated power outages and brown outs.
Modern dance pioneer Martha Graham “Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired.”
To paraphrase Michael Dell: “Know who you are. Know what to do.”
Venting only identifies the problem. It does not solve it.
