Yosemite, Ca — A new postage stamp will go into circulation Thursday featuring the Albert Bierstadt painting, ?Valley of the Yosemite.?
?I think it is exciting for stamp collectors in general, because it is such an iconic place in California,? says Yosemite spokesperson Kari Cobb. ?It is a place that everyone wants to go.?
A special unveiling ceremony will take place Thursday morning at 10:30am at the Yosemite Valley Post Office.
Cobb says that she believes this marks the second time Yosemite will be featured on a postage stamp. It is part of the American Treasures Series.
