Hot Copper Days Coming To Calaveras County

Copperopolis, CA — Last year it was Hot Copper Nights at the Castle & Cooke developed Town Square … this year it´ll be Hot Copper Days and it´s coming up Saturday from 10am to 8pm.

Jack Paolucci of the Lake Tulloch Lions Club is expecting 140 cars of all makes and models to be on display. There will be 13 car classes with the judging to take place between 1-3pm. This year cars will be coming from as far as Las Vegas.

This will mark the club´s 10th year of raising funds and the second year the Copperopolis Town Square has hosted the event. Last year $7,000 was raised through entry fees, business sponsorships and donations. $6,000 of that amount was allocated for scholarships for Bret Harte High School seniors. The remaining funds were utilized for food baskets for the underpriviledged during the Holiday Season.
