Sonora, CA — The National Weather Service is warning Mother Lode residents to expect areas of fog to develop overnight and become locally dense.

Motorists are urged to plan for extra time, increase following distance, and use low beam headlights when encountering fog.

Another storm system is moving toward the mountains bringing with it rain and snow. Forecasts indicate the rain will begin Friday.
