Sonora, CA — CHP officers say Kewin Mill Road at Big Hill Road is now open following a fatal car accident.

Tom Wills of the CHP says one involved party was transported to Tuolumne General Hospital, and another has been pronounced dead.

Officials of nearby Belleview School say no children were involved in the accident. Wills says the driver of an Isuzu Outback was traveling southbound at an excessive rate of speed, when the vehicle slid into the path of a one ton Chevy truck.
