Pioneer, Ca — A vegetation fire, estimated at 100 acres, has broken out near the Calaveras Dome, which is located southwest of the Salt Springs Reservoir area.

According to CAL Fire, it is in a very remote area, and no structures or areas of occupation are threatened. There are 13 state and three federal engines on scene. There are also five air tankers, four helicopters and six hand crews. The fire is near the Amador-Calaveras County line.
