Jamestown, CA– One man is recovering after a domestic dispute that got out of hand.
Saturday, Melinda Roney took her frustration out on her husband when she used a large squirt gun to soak him in gasoline during an argument over the custody of their two-year-old son.
According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s department, when deputies arrived at the scene near Jamestown Elementary School, they found the 36-year-old husband covered in gas and the child missing from his vehicle.
Reports indicate that after dousing her husband, Roney took the child from his car and got into another waiting vehicle and was driven from the scene.
Officials found Rooney near Dambacher Drive and Sommette Drive where she was taken into custody and now faces charges of attempt murder. The child was uninjured.
