A routine traffic stop by Calaveras County Sheriff´s deputies over the weekend resulted a Glenco man going to jail.
A Sheriff´s spokesman reports that deputies stopped Craig James Mcallister on Highway 26 at Ponderosa Road because of a defective headlight. When deputies asked Mcallister if he had any weapons, he revealed that he was in possession of a knife attached to his belt.
He was arrested for being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. Mcallister was transported and booked into Calaveras County jail with his bail set at $15,000.
