Mother Lode, CA — This weekend the Bureau of Land Management is sponsoring a 3-day field trip featuring the Mother Lode´s geology and mining history.
The tour starts Friday at the Mariposa History Center and ends Sunday at the Sutter Creek Mine in Amador County.
The tour features two underground mine tours and stops at the Coulterville Historical Center and Columbia State Park.
The trip costs $100 for all 3 days. It includes admission to the museums and mines.
