The CHP has released the names of a Valley Springs man and three young children killed in a traffic accident near San Andreas.

Officials say 39-year-old Andy Pemintez, 11-year-old Andrew Pemintez, 9-year-old Cameron Pemintez, and 6-year-old Michael Pemintez were all killed yesterday. Officers say the youngest child was not wearing a seat belt and should have been in a child-safety seat.

Investigators say the 1996 Thunderbird driven by Andy Pemintez was attempting to pass another vehicle when the car fishtailed into the path of the van driven by 54-year-old San Andreas resident Ronald Hollingshead. His passenger, 25-year-old son Kevin Hollingshead sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to a Modesto Hospital for treatment.
