A new statewide poll shows Governor Davis clinging to a surprisingly narrow 7-point lead over challenger Bill Simon. In the Field Poll, Davis leads Simon by 38 percent to 31 percent. The poll shows that voters are displeased with both candidates and are siding with the candidate they dislike the least.
