FBI investigators and deputies from Tuolumne and Calaveras counties have spent the day at New Melones Lake, looking for more bodies, after pulling two from the water over the weekend.

Crews using a remote control submersible were scanning the lake bottom near the Stevenot and Parrotts Ferry bridges. The operation is part of an investigation into organized crime outside the Mother Lode. Agents are keeping tight-lipped about the exact nature of the probe. Autopsies will be conducted on the bodies this week.
