Four people were killed and a 3-year-old girl seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a single car roll-over accident on Highway 120 near Groveland.

The highway patrol reports five people were traveling in a 1999 BMW westbound on Highway 120 east of Cherry Lake when for unknown reasons the car went out of control, veered across the roadway, rolled then went airborne before slamming into a large tree.

Officers investigating the accident say the car´s roof collapsed upon impact killing all the adult occupants. One couple was from San Jose, the other couple visiting from India.

The 3-year-old girl was flown to Madera Children´s Hospital and is in critical condition.
