Firefighters expected to have full control of the Willow fire by 6 p.m. Wednesday night. Fire fighters remain at the scene of the 165-acre grass, brush and oak fire just outside San Andreas overnight.
The blaze along Willow Creek Road was sparked by a riding lawn mower Tuesday afternoon, and spread rapidly fanned by afternoon winds. The blaze was fully contained as of 8 a.m. this morning.
Expect to see fire fighters and some smoke in the area for the next few days, as mop-up operations continue.
