Two people were hospitalized with injuries after an accident Thursday afternoon near Valley Springs.

43-year-old Travis Jammer was in his 93 Ford pickup, stopped on Vista Del Lago Drive. 74-year-old Antonia Coty was driving her 96 Toyota Camry westbound on Highway 26.

The CHP says Jammer failed to notice Coty on the roadway and entered the intersection. The front end of Coty´s car hit the right side of Jammer´s truck.

Both drivers were taken to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries. Jammer experienced neck and back pain, and Coty suffered burns to her hands.
