The Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce now has clarification on the order by Governor Gray Davis
regarding reducing outdoor lighting for businesses. Chamber CEO George Segarini says the plan includes a reduction of 50 percent or more of energy
consumption in areas where public safety is not threatened like parking lots or alleys.

The reduction in lighting will mainly include those used for
marketing or decorative purposes.
