The group pledged $50,000 to build a children’s play area and waiting room at the new Sonora Community Hospital, and is selling Christmas cards and ornaments to raise the money.

Judy Borquest says the ornaments cost $18 each.

“We have a Sonora scene, a Twain Harte scene and we have the Golden Regiment Band on our featured ornaments this year,” she said.

Each ornament comes in a silk box. There are also several different cards to choose from, including Sonora and Twain Harte winter scenes.

Omega Nu volunteers will be on Washington Street with the wares after the Sonora Christmas parade, and on December 7th and 14th.
