A terminal at Orange County´s John Wayne Airport was shut down for almost an hour yesterday, after a woman bypassed a security checkpoint.
Thousands of passengers were evacuated as authorities searched the terminal.
Authorities were unable to find the woman, who ran into the terminal through the departure gates.
Earlier yesterday, a Delta Airlines jet blew out two tires on the runway. No one was injured, but the runway was closed more than two hours while a crew towed the aircraft. The two incidents combined caused more than 100 flights to be delayed at the Orange County airport.
