Firefighters have stopped the spread of 3 separate grass fires in the Burson area of Calaveras County. The
blazes were reported just before 4 this morning, along Penn Mine Road.

They range in size from a half acre to about 2 acres. Crews are awaiting an
investigator to determine how the fires got started.
