Tuolumne County Assessor/Recorder David Wynne says senior citizens should be alerted that they don´t
need to pay to apply for property tax rebates from the State Franchise Tax Board.

A mailer out from an organization called “Senior Assistance
Center” out of southern California, is soliciting a $32.00 fee for assisting in completing the State Claim form received by seniors who are
qualified.

Wynne says filing this claim form is free of charge by calling the State Franchise Tax Board.
