Easter Message To Address Sex Abuse

Many of the state´s nine million Catholics will be hearing a different message this Easter. Churches across the state are planning to address the recent scandal involving allegations of sexual misconduct by priests. Bishops have already been using homilies during the past week to call for a new openness about the issue. In San Bernardino, the diocese is spending seven-thousand dollars to place ads in a local newspaper with an Easter message making “significant references´´ to the child abuse issue.
