Tribe Welcomes Back Executive Chef
Tuolumne, CA — Ed Wickman has returned as the Executive Chef at Black Oak Casino Resort.
Wickman was hired to open the Seven Sisters Restaurant and help manage the casino’s Food and Beverage Department back in 2005. He later left in 2008 to work for Hilton and Jackson Rancheria. According to Black Oak Casino Resort, Wickman is a Certified Executive Chef, and his bio of clients includes President Clinton, Muhammad Ali, the King of Morocco, Nelson Mandela, and others.
At the time of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Wickman was on vacation from his job as Executive Chef for the Merrill Lynch Headquarters in the World Trade Center complex. He later returned and spent 5 ½ months feeding rescue workers at ground zero.
Wickman also serves on the advisory board for Columbia College’s Culinary Program.
Black Oak Casino Resort is owned by the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians.
