State Parks Free For Veterans

Sacramento, CA — A state law signed last year makes it free for military veterans to enter California state parks this Memorial Day.

AB 150 was introduced by Assemblymember Kristin Olsen and signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown. It also extends the free admission to active members of the Armed Forces.

“The passage of AB 150 reaffirmed and strengthened our state’s support for the many Californians who have made extreme sacrifices to protect our country through military service,” said Assemblymember Olsen.  “My hope is that the men and women who make up our Armed Forces take this opportunity to enjoy time with loved ones in one of our beautiful state parks.”

Olsen’s bill had bi-partisan support in the Assembly and Senate.
