Gretchen Walters, RN, is the Clinical Director of the Medical Surgical, Intensive Care and Step Down units at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Walters is originally from the East Coast and completed her nursing education in Southern California, earning an Associates Degree in Nursing from Santa Monica Community College and Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management from The University of La Verne, in La Verne, Calif. Walters loves nursing because, “it is a very dynamic profession with a far reaching scope to help others. Nursing provides an opportunity to build compassionate relationships with our patients and loved ones and to connect with others to promote healing and health. It is knowing that even the smallest gesture to demonstrate caring can have a powerful impact on our patients and loved ones.”
