Bridging the Gap: MACT Health Board Brings New Services to Markleeville

Sponsored by:

For residents of Alpine County, accessing consistent healthcare has often meant traveling long distances. MACT Health Board is proud to change that narrative with the opening of our newest clinic location in Markleeville. This expansion represents a significant step in our ongoing commitment to removing barriers to care and improving the physical and emotional well-being of the communities we serve.

Convenient Care, Close to Home

The new clinic is centrally located inside the Alpine County Health Clinic at 75 Diamond Valley Road. To ensure maximum accessibility for working families and seniors alike, the facility is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

By establishing a presence in a central, familiar location, we aim to provide a healthcare hub that residents can rely on without the burden of extensive travel.

A Comprehensive Suite of Services

The Markleeville clinic is equipped to handle a wide range of immediate and long-term health needs. Our goal is to provide a “one-stop” environment where patients can receive high-quality attention for various conditions.

Available services include:

  • Acute Non-Emergency Care: Rapid treatment for common ailments such as strep throat, the flu, UTIs, and STIs.
  • Essential Health Screenings: Walk-in or scheduled checks for blood pressure and A1C testing to help manage chronic conditions.
  • Primary Care: The clinic serves as a hub for essential in-person primary care, including chronic care management to help patients navigate long-term health journeys.
  • Telehealth Care: Connect with a provider through virtual appointments from a convenient location.
  • Vaccinations: Available by appointment to help keep the community protected.
  • Specialist Referrals: Our team can facilitate the necessary connections for those requiring specialized medical intervention.

Insurance and Community Partnerships

We understand that navigating healthcare costs can be a challenge. To support our mission of accessibility, the Markleeville clinic accepts and bills Medi-Cal as well as private insurance.

Furthermore, MACT is officially contracted with Blue Shield of California, allowing us to provide dedicated services for Alpine County employees as well. While co-pays may apply depending on your specific insurance, our team is dedicated to helping you understand your coverage and receive the care you need.

Join Us in Growing a Healthier Community

“We are incredibly excited to bring consistent, accessible healthcare to the Woodfords community,” said John Alexander, Executive Director of MACT Health Board. “Our goal is to remove barriers to care and by establishing this presence in a central, familiar location, we can better serve the needs of residents close to home.”

Whether you are feeling under the weather or simply need to establish a baseline for your health through a routine check-up, our team is ready to welcome you.
