TUD: Conservation, Finances And Fuel Breaks
Sonora, CA — Several issues will face the T.U.D. Board of Directors at its Tuesday meeting.
The Board of Directors will consider passing a resolution calling for heightened water conservation measures statewide as a result of the drought. Last month Governor Jerry Brown called on Californians to “redouble” conservation measures to help the state manage its water and habitat effectively during the drought. The Association of California Water Agencies is calling on its 430 member agencies, which includes T.U.D., to pass a new resolution in support of increased conservation.
In addition, the Board of Directors will hear a finance report for the first quarter of this year. Also on the table for discussion will be an agreement with the Highway 108 Fire Safe Council to allow for grant funded fuel reduction work to occur on district owned land.
Tuesday’s T.U.D. meeting starts at 2pm.
