San Andreas, CA — A plane has overshot the runway at the Calaveras County Airport.

County Administrative Officer Tom Mitchell, who was at a meeting at the airport, says the pilot was trying to take off.

The small plane landed up side down on the north end of the runway.

The airport is located in between San Andreas and Angels Camp.

Mitchell says the pilot, who was the only one in the plane, received a small cut to his forehead.
