San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County officials are looking for a unique and local photograph to grace the cover of the 2006-07 annual budget.

Auditor Linda Churches says she encourages the photos to depict historical places, people, or memorabilia focusing on the riches of Calaveras County.

Last year´s winner was Cynthia Cobb of Valley Springs who won with a photo of the Calaveras Cement Bridge over Highway 49. The photo was taken by her daughter Kara.

This year´s winner will be selected by the Board of Supervisors sometime in September.

Submissions can be sent to the Auditor´s Office at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas or emailed to Linda Churches.

The deadline is August 31.
