Pioneer, Ca — The Calaveras Dome vegetation fire, now estimated at 80-110 acres, has been turned over by CAL Fire to the Stanislaus National Forest.

The fire, located southwest of the Salt Springs Reservoir area, started late Friday afternoon. It is near the Amador-Calaveras County line.

According to CAL Fire, it is located in a very remote area, and no structures or areas of occupation are threatened.
