Jamestown, CA — A 62-year-old Jamestown woman has died following a single vehicle rollover on Highway 49 near Bell Mooney Road late Saturday night.
Police reports indicate that Patricia Bonham was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier northbound with her mother, 84-year-old Mae Radovich as a passenger in the car.
Police say Bonham had told her mother that she couldn´t breathe before she allowed the vehicle to swerve across the oncoming lane and off the left edge of the roadway colliding with a rock embankment.
Police say the car then traveled across the road to the other side and came to rest on another embankment. Bonham was transported to Tuolumne General Hospital suffering from major internal injuries; she died yesterday at Memorial Hostpital in Modesto at 3:30.
Radovich was treated at Sonora Regional for head lacerations and a back injury. Police say both were wearing seatbelts.
