Groveland, CA — Officials have released the name of the man killed in a car accident near Buck Meadow yesterday.

The Mariposa County Coroner´s office says 19-year-old Andrew Woody of Bishop was driving the vehicle that careened off of highway 120 and collided with several trees.

Woody´s passenger, 20-year-old Deanne Hamata of Garden Grove was seriously injured in the crash.

Hamata was transported to Memorial North hospital in Modesto with severe chest trauma.

Police say both were wearing seatbelts and both airbags deployed.
