Copperopolis, CA — A 57-year-old Modesto man faces hit-and-run and drunk-driving charges after a two vehicle accident on O´Byrnes Ferry Road Friday.

CHP says Ronald Wrigley was driving Northbound on O´Byrnes Ferry at about 8:00 PM when he stopped suddenly to make a turn into the Poker Flat gate two. According to police reports, 19-year-old John Timewell was travelling behind Wrigley and stopped at the same time.

Wrigley then reportedly put his truck in reverse and backed into Timewell´s vehicle.

Police say Wrigley then fled the scene but was later arrested.
