Car lovers will be out in force Saturday for the Concours D´ Elegance in Murphys.
The annual event at Ironstone Vineyards helps raise money for local and statewide 4-H and State Fair scholarship programs.
Don Boos is the event´s founder. He says this, the 8th annual edition, will help fund Tuolumne and Calaveras county chapters of the 4-H. “They benefit very strongly from this,” he said. Boos said last year the event brought in around $30,000 for 4-H programs.
Three hundred rare and limited edition motor cars of every maker and style will be on display Saturday. Celebrated at the winery event this year will be 100 years of Rolls Royce, Boos said.
But he says there will be more than just classic cars at Ironstone. “There´s also going to be a fashion show of period clothing associated with cars of different eras.” Plus there will be fund raising auctions, tours of the Ironstone gardens, and lots of food and drink.
Tickets for the event will be available ($10 adults, Children free) at the vineyards.
