Residents who want to learn more about the proposed Tuscany Hills subdivision near Copperopolis can attend a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Copperopolis Armory, 695 O´Byrnes Ferry Road.

Red Mountain Resorts of Los Altos is proposing to build 335 homes, a golf course and a marina on 1,113 acres along the north shore of Lake Tulloch.

The project´s Environmental Impact Report was released July 30. The review period ends Sept. 15.

Calaveras County Planning Department staff members will host the meeting to gather community input on the report. Supervisor Victoria Erickson will also attend.

Copies of the report are available at the Copperopolis Library, 60 Copper Cove Drive, the Planning Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas, or online at www.co.calaveras.ca.us. For more information contact the Planning Department at 754-6394.

At the end of the public review period, planning staff members will write a report and respond to comments received. The total package will be heard by the Planning Commission Nov. 18.
