Sonora, CA — Highway 108 is now open at Highway 120 near the Yosemite Junction after being closed since 2:30pm.
The Highway Patrol says the multiple vehicle accident caused fatal injuries to one of the drivers involved.
Reports indicate witnesses saw smoke and rubber coming from under a westbound Ford Ranger when it began to fishtail and cross over into the oncoming lane.
CHP officials say an eastbound Ford F-150 truck hit the vehicle head on, killing the driver of the Ford Ranger instantly.
The identity of the person fatally injured has not been released pending the notification of family members.
