Officials have reopened portions of the Mokelumne River that have been closed since June.
Excessive cold and swift runoff in addition to debris in the river prompted the closures.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff´s Department says the river is still running higher than normal, but stretches between McIntire Fish Hatchery and the Bruella Road Bridge, and Woodbridge Dam to Peltier Road have been reopened.
Rafters are urged to exercise caution and use personal flotation devices.
