Dorrington, CA — A Dorrington man is facing battery charges after an altercation with his father Wednesday.

Calaveras County Sheriff´s Deputies responded to the scene, however 29-year-old Joshua Elliott had already left.

Reports indicate the father; 51-year-old Casey Elliott was strangled during the altercation by his son. Deputies say Joshua Elliott also threatened his father´s life. Elliott was located and arrested for the threats made and charges of battery.
